The Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2, India’s fastest electric bike, enters global markets with upgraded features, international certification, and expanded color options.
The Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 manufactured by Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette will now find its way into international markets. The F77 Mach 2 Electric performance motorcycle that has an all-aluminium enclosure with an IP-67 rating made a domestic debut early this year. The company relaunched it in April this year with additional features & an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.99 lack (USD 3,556).
New Markets Beyond Local & International Certification
Recently, Ultraviolette was given international recognition for the F77 Mach 2 from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The L3e certification permits the use of the motorcycle on roads in approximately forty nations including members of EU, for use by A1 & A2 license holders, during their training to the next classes of licenses. Ultraviolette has been shipped to countries like Turkey and Germany and in the meantime other European countries are also in the queue.
Global Showcase and Variants
The F77 Mach 2 is expected to make an appearance at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) in Milan, Italy. Two variants, Standard and Recon, are the models offered. The Standard version now costs Rs 2.99 lakh, whereas the Recon version comes with a price tag of Rs 3.99 lakh and at the moment, it is offered in 15 cities in India.
Design and Specifications
However, maintaining the classic style, the F77 Mach 2 comes in three trims – Shadow, Airstrike and Laser in nine possible hues. The latest model comes with ‘F77’ engraving on the front forks and a new aluminium charging port lid. Again driven by a 30kW motor it produces 40.2 hp of power and 100 Nm of maximum torque that enhances its acceleration from standstill to 60 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 155 km/h.
Battery and Charging
The 10.3 kWh battery has an extended range of up to 323 km according to the manufacture; the charging time depends on the variant, the base takes 3 hours from 20-80% while the Recon takes 5 hours; boost charger raises the 20-80% charging time to 1.5 & 2.5 hours respectively.
