The Vayve Mobility Eva is India’s first solar-powered compact electric vehicle, featuring a unique two-seater configuration. The Eva, first exhibited as a concept at Auto Expo 2023, makes its official debut this year. Its design is inspired by legendary models such as the Mahindra e2O and Reva, but it also features modern styling for a fresh, futuristic look. It has three battery pack options: 9 kWh, 12.6 kWh, and 18 kWh, with a claimed range of up to 250 km.
VinFast VF 3
Expected Price: Rs 10 lakh onwards
The VinFast VF 3 is a two-door compact EV that, if launched in the country, might be one of the most economical compact EVs available. The VF 3 has a boxy design language and a basic interior with room for four people. It is powered by an electric motor that produces 43.5 PS and 110 Nm, and it has a stated range of up to 215 kilometres.
Maruti e Vitara
Expected Price: Rs 17 lakh onwards
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 marks the production debut of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara. The e Vitara will be Maruti’s first all-electric vehicle, with two battery pack options (49 kWh and 61 kWh) and a stated range of over 500 kilometres. The e Vitara has an aggressive style and a premium-looking cabin inside. It’s also the first Maruti product to include a level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV Concept
Expected Price: Rs 18 lakh onwards
The Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV idea is just a rebranded version of the Maruti e Vitara and it is also built on the same platform as the E Vitara. While the Urban Cruiser BEV concept has the same silhouette as its Maruti counterpart, it features a redesigned front to stand out. The interior and feature list are almost identical to the e Vitara. It will most likely share its battery pack and electric motor options with the Maruti EV, and its range is expected to exceed 550 kilometres.
Tata Nexon EV Bandipur Edition
Expected Price: Yet To Be Announced
The Tata Nexon EV has received yet another edition, the Bandipur Edition, which pays tribute to Karnataka’s Bandipur National Park, which is noted for its tiger and elephant reserves. It comes in a new Bandipur Bronze exterior colour and Khaki brown upholstery on the inside. The Nexon EV Bandipur Edition is built on the 45 kWh battery pack variant, which has a claimed MIDC (Part I+II) range of 489 kilometres.
Hyundai Creta Electric
The Price Range: Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 23.50 lakh
The Hyundai Creta Electric was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025 as Hyundai India’s most affordable electric vehicle. It has two battery pack configurations, 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, with a stated range of up to 473 km. The Creta Electric has EV-specific design changes both inside and out, as well as some additional features over the ICE (internal combustion engine) version, such as electric boss mode and V2L (vehicle-to-load).
Mahindra BE 6
Price Range: Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh
The freshly introduced Mahindra BE 6 debuted at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Customers can also get hands-on experience with the BE 6, as test drives are currently taking place in select cities. The BE 6 has two battery pack options: 59 and 79 kWh. It claims a range of up to 682 kilometres (MIDC Parts I and II).
Mahindra XEV 9e
Price Range: Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh
The Mahindra XEV 9e is an electric SUV coupe that is now Mahindra’s flagship model. It is available in two battery pack sizes: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The XEV 9e has a stated range of up to 656 kilometres. While bookings for the XEV 9e are currently open, Mahindra has begun staged test drives for this EV.
Tata Harrier EV
Expected Price: Rs 25 lakh onwards
At the Auto Expo 2025, we also saw a production-ready version of the Tata Harrier EV. The Tata Harrier EV will also be all-wheel-drive (AWD), but no details about the battery pack have been disclosed. The Harrier EV is similar to the standard Harrier but with EV-specific alloys, grille, and bumper. It might claim a range of more than 500 kilometres.
VinFast VF e34
Expected Price: Rs 25 lakh
Another electric SUV that debuted in India at the Auto Expo 2025 was the VinFast VF e34, which, if launched here, might start at Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). The global-spec VF e34 electric SUV has a 41.9 kWh battery pack and an NEDC-stated range of up to 277 km.
