Tata Safari EV Price and Variants

Launch Date: The Tata Safari EV EV will be unveiled at India’s upcoming Auto Expo 2025.

Price Range: Prices are estimated to start at Rs. 32 Lakh.

Range: The Tata Safari EV is expected to have a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. 

Speed: Not yet disclosed.

Variant: We expect that when Tata showcases and eventually launches the Safari EV, it will be offered in the XM, XZ, and XZ+ lux variants. However, with the launch of the Nexon EV facelift, Tata introduced a new nomenclature for its cars along the lines of Creative, Fearless and Pure. The Safari EV could move to this at the time of launch.

Motor Power: Not yet disclosed.

Charging time: The Tata Safari EV takes 45 minutes to charge fully.

Battery Capacity: The Tata Safari EV is expected to have a 60–70 kWh battery pack. 

Colours: The Tata Safari EV is available in 3 colours: White, Red, and Black.

Rivals: BYD Atto 3, Mahindra XEV 9e, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV and Mahindra BE 6 are sought to be the major rivals to Tata Safari EV.

Latest and Safe Features:

• The Tata Safari EV to take up the shape of the Harrier EV but with a different face, different alloy wheel design and lighting package. It’s expected to be offered in both single-tone and dual-tone colour schemes.
• The Safari EV will copy most of the Harrier EV cabin including the elements, layout and colour schemes. We also expect most of the feature list like the touchscreen infotainment system, instrument cluster, power driver’s seat, level-1 ADAS and lighting package to be carried over. The Safari EV will be the first three-row vehicle in the segment and we expect it to be offered with both six-seat and seven-seat options.

Like its five-door sibling, the Safari EV will be underpinned by Tata gen-2 architecture and possibly AWD via a dual motor set-up. There are no details as yet on the battery pack or motor output.
