Tata Motors launches the Ultra EV 7M electric bus, designed for urban mobility, offering efficiency, comfort, and advanced safety.
Tata Motors has recently unveiled its new electric bus called ‘Ultra EV 7M’ mainly to cater for the narrow and compact road networks of both the big cities and other urban centers in India. This new entrant for the Tata group to its portfolio of CVs for e-mobility appears targeted to address the need for productivity and green transport in the city and amongst the workforce.
Key Features and Specifications
The Ultra EV 7M Compact Electric Bus is supported by a 213 kW motor with the maximum power of 290 kW, the car’s maximum speed is 75 kph. This is packaged with a 200 kWh lithium ion battery pack that can be recharged fully within 25 hours duration. The bus has a range of 120-160 kilometers per charge, which allows it to be utilized effectively on city routes.
For dimension details, the bus has a length of 7,150mm, width of 2,340mm, height of 3,200mm, compact wheelbase of 3,450mm and a high floor height of 900mm and a passenger capacity of 20 persons With regards to the door, it is provided with one front boarding door on the left side.
Performance and Comfort
Some of the specifications that come with the Ultra EV 7M Compact Electric Bus include gross vehicle weight of 9,500 kg and a grade-ability of seventeen percent which makes it work well even on steep gradients. Safety measures that the bus comes with include air suspensions on both ends of the bus to enhance the comfort of the passenger. For the driver, Tata has incorporated a tilt and telescopic steering column hence improving maneuvering capability.
