By 2030 Tata Motors predicts CNG vehicles will compose 25-30% of its total sales lines while planning for under 5% of diesel vehicle market share. There is a projected substantial expansion of the Indian passenger vehicle market toward an estimated annual six million unit sales volume for FY30.
The company intends to achieve a market share bracket of 18-20 % which will represent between 1-1.2 million yearly sales. During this projection, EV sales will represent 3-4 lakh units which exceeds four times today’s yearly figures.
