Tata Motors has updated its Tiago EV for the model year 2025, keeping it fresh and competitive in the Indian market.
Tata Motors released the official 2025 Tiago EV to the market to maintain its design features and compete with other electric hatchback models. The model update provides only a few external alterations but includes new functionality and technology while retaining the same basic powertrain system from previous years. An assessment determines fundamental differences and shared features between the old Tiago EV and its new version through an analysis of the design features, powertrain options and cost details.
Exterior Changes
The 2025 Tiago EV maintains an identical design while keeping its measurements at 3,769 mm in length, 1,677 mm in width, and 1,536 mm in height with 2,400 mm for the wheelbase dimension and a 240-liter boot capacity. Multiple design modifications stand out in the updated 2025 version of the Tata Tiago EV.
- The Tiago EV features newly integrated modern LED headlights that improve visibility and enhance the vehicle’s appearance.
- From its front bumper originates a modernised grille which provides a contemporary facade.
- A new EV mark now appears across the front door panels instead of being concealed behind the front grille.
- The latest model receives aerodynamically designed 14-inch wheel covers as standard equipment.
- The 2025 Tiago EV includes three new options namely Chill Lime, Arizona Blue, and Supernova Copper shades, while Pristine White, Daytona Grey, and Teal Blue are carried over from the old Tiago EV.
Interior Enhancements
- Several comfort and technology improvements have been implemented to the interior without changing the basic design of the earlier version.
- A two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel serves as one of the interior changes found in the 2025 Tiago EV and it has already appeared across other Tata models including Harrier and Nexon.
- The new digital instrument cluster serves as a replacement for the previous analogue instruments to deliver improved visualisation of data for drivers.
- New seat cover variations have replaced the current cabin design while keeping the original dual-tone colour pattern unchanged.
Feature Additions
The latest 2025 Tiago EV model provides several new features that make it more attractive to buyers.
- The latest safety suite contains an HD rearview camera with parking sensors along with hill hold control and an electronic stability program (ESP). However, it still lacks six airbags and retains dual front airbags.
- Customers can utilise the 45W USB-C charging port inside the vehicle to achieve fast device charging speeds.
- Standard comfort functions in the vehicle include automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, cooled glovebox storage, multiple regenerative braking settings, a powered cargo door entry connected car capabilities, smartphone integration cruise control autonomy and automatic climate control to keep their position in the 2025 Tiago EV.
Powertrain Specifications
There are no changes in the 2025 Tiago EV powertrain from the original version yet its range numbers have increased slightly. Thanks to its 19.2 kWh battery pack the medium-range variant achieves power output of 61 PS and torque output of 110 Nm. The updated version of the Tiago EV provides a 223 km range across the MIDC cycle and users can charge it from 10% to 80% in only 58 minutes through DC charging. It requires 6.9 hours to fully charge the vehicle with a standard 3.3 kW wall box, however a 7.2 kW faster charger enables 2.6 hours.
The long-range variant of this model contains a 24 kWh battery pack which generates 75 PS power output and 114 Nm torque output. This variant operates on a 10-80% charge at a speed of 58 minutes through DC charging and it provides a remarkable 293 km range. The standard charging method for AC requires 8.7 hours with the 3.3 kW charger or it can be done in 3.6 hours using the 7.2 kW option.
Pricing and Competition
The new Tata Tiago EV model costs from Rs. 7.99 lakh up to Rs. 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV Tata Tiago faces competition from other electric vehicle products such as:
- MG Comet EV
- Citroen eC3
The safety advancements together with technological features enhance the model’s attractiveness for prospective buyers even though design changes are minor.
