Tata Harrier EV now gets 500 km in real-world range, a 75 kWh battery pack option, and ADAS level 2.
On June 3, 2025, Tata Motors unveiled the most anticipated Harrier EV. Tata’s first electric car with dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) is this all-electric variant of the well-known Harrier SUV. Tata released teaser videos in the days leading up to the launch, adding a viral clip of the Harrier EV boldly tackling the rough roads of Elephant Rock in Kerala, flaunting its multiple driving modes and advanced features.
Tata Harrier EV Key Specification
The Harrier EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in only 6.3 seconds, has a massive 504 Nm torque, and can go up to 500 km in real-world conditions thanks to Tata’s latest Gen 2 Acti.ev technology. It takes 25 minutes to fully charge the Harrier EV. It also includes a 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery option, allowing users to choose based on their range and financial limits.
With a quick charger, the Harrier EV’s 75 kWh battery pack can go 250 km in 15 minutes. The EV also features a liquid-cooled motor to improve efficiency. The Harrier EV also offers V2L and V2V functionality, allowing vehicle-to-load support up to 3.3 kW and vehicle-to-vehicle charging up to 5 kW.
Tata Harrier EV Technology and Chassis
Tata’s advanced Ultra Glide suspension technology is installed in the Harrier EV, providing a smooth and composed ride. The chassis includes an independent front McPherson and rear multi-link setup with Frequency Dependent Damping (FDD), as well as twin-route chassis stabilisation for improved comfort and handling.
The SUV also has a cutting-edge Vacuum-independent Brake Control Architecture, which allows for improved brake blending and precise regenerative braking when driving in Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD). This translates to excellent articulation, precise controllability, and distinct mode delivery, offering an array of terrain modes for optimal traction anywhere.
Tata Harrier EV Driving Modes and Platform
The Harrier EV gets 6 driving modes: normal, sand, mud ruts, snow/grass, rock crawl, and custom mode. It also boasts interesting features like the “Boss Mode,” which allows the rear seat passenger to adjust the front passenger seat for more room space. Along with this, it offers advanced remote key features such as Remote Start, Summon Forward/Reverse, and Remote Park In/Out, enhancing convenience and control. The “Summon mode” allows you to summon it in a parking lot using the key and enables it to park itself.
The Harrier EV retains the ICE version’s robust road presence, but it has a closed front grille, new bumpers, turbine-style alloy wheels, and connected DRLs. The SUV, which is based on a redesigned OMEGA platform (shared with Land Rover), has modern styling and improved aerodynamics.
Interior, Infotainment, & Safety Features
Stepping inside the Tata Harrier EV retains much of the layout of its ICE cousin. It also gets features, like a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch completely digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a voice-activated panoramic sunroof, a 10-speaker JBL music system with a subwoofer, ambient lighting, and front-ventilated seats.
It has V2L and V2V functionality, dual-zone climate control, built-in navigation, a motorised tailgate, ambient lighting, and advanced connected car technology. The voice-assisted dual-zone fully automated temperature control improves passenger and driver comfort by allowing for hands-free temperature settings in both zones. Safety-wise the EV comes with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.
Price & Availability
The Tata Harrier EV will be available in three identities and four colours. The electric SUV will also be available in stealth black, which is matte black. Tata’s Harrier EV is likely to cost ₹24-28 lakh (ex-showroom) and rival the Mahindra XUV 9e, Mahindra BE 6, and BYD Atto 3. Tata Motors’ Indian EV portfolio, along with the Harrier EV, includes the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Nexon EV, Punch EV, and Curvv EV, and will be followed by the Sierra EV.
