Discover the new electric Tata Harrier SUV EV, which boasts innovative technologies, a sleek modern style, and an excellent electric range.
Tata Motors is preparing to launch an electric version of its famous Harrier SUV. The electrified Harrier will include cutting-edge technology, modern design components, and an outstanding electric range. Overall, the Harrier EV will be positioned as a viable competitor in the electric SUV market. Here’s what to expect from the new Harrier EV.
Design and Interior Features
The Tata Harrier EV will keep the ICE’s characteristic design language, but with some customized changes to fit the electric variant. These include a closed-off front grille, interconnected LED lighting for the front and back, and aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels. The cabin will exude luxury and technology, with features like a 12.3-inch infotainment system, heated front seats, and even a sunroof with mood lighting. Interior features will include a configurable multifunction steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and a motorized tailgate operated by gestures.
Battery & Range
It will be based on Tata’s OMEGA Arc platform and have a dual-motor all-wheel drive configuration. The car would be powered by a 60-80 kWh battery pack, ensuring a certified range of more than 500 kilometres on a full charge. The vehicle’s fast charging, V2L, and V2V capabilities make it ideal for long-distance travel and device charging.
Safety Features
Tata’s safety standards may be observed in the Harrier EV. The electric SUV will be equipped with seven airbags, a 360-degree view camera, and ESP. It will incorporate hill-hold and hill-descent control, as well as ADAS, to improve driver safety, among other features.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
The Harrier EV is planned to be released in January 2025, with a price range of Rs. 24 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh ex-showroom. There are likely to be medium and long-range variations.
Competitors
At introduction, the Tata Harrier EV will compete with electric SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV.e8, Maruti eVitara, and Hyundai Kona electric. So the car’s chances of success are fairly good because it is not only premium but also has a longer range.
With a sturdy body, cutting-edge technology, and competitive pricing, Tata Harrier is expected to dominate the Indian electric SUV market in terms of both performance and luxury for eco-conscious residents.
