Tata Motors has once again demonstrated that producing safe cars is more than just an option for the company; it is a purpose dedicated to ensuring passenger safety. The Tata Curvv and Curvv EV, two of its most recent models, got remarkable but expected 5-star safety ratings in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.
This coupe SUV, including its all-electric option, is Tata Motors’ fifth 5-star product, following the Nexon and its EV version, the Punch EV, the Harrier, and the Safari. The Curvv ICE and EV have earned five stars for Adult and Child Occupant Protection.
30.81 out of 32 points
It scored an impressive 30.81 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 44.83 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection. The Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test yielded 15.66 out of 16 points, while the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test yielded 15.15 out of 16.
The EV received 23.82 out of 24 dynamic points for Child Occupant Protection and a perfect 12 out of 12 for CRS installation, highlighting its superior safety features. However, the ICE model scored a bit lower than its EV counterpart.
Tata Curvv: Bharat NCAP Rating
The Curvv ICE received 29.50 points out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection. The Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test yielded 14.65 out of 16.00 points, while the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test yielded 14.85 out of 16.00.
The Curvv ICE received a score of 43.66 out of 49 for child occupant protection, 22.66 out of 24.00 for dynamic, and 12 out of 12 for CRS installation.
