With the introduction of OneS, the business has discontinued Simple Dot One to focus on premium EV innovation.
Simple Energy, a clean tech startup, has unveiled its latest electric scooter, the Simple OneS, for Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom).
With an IDC range of 181 km, this new model has the longest range in its class, making it a great option for intra- and inter-city trips in rural, semi-urban, and metropolitan settings. The scooter will be sold at 15 showrooms in major cities such as Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Vizag, Vijayawada, and Mangalore.
Simple Ones: Performance and Battery
The Simple OneS is a significant update over the earlier Simple Dot One, including improvements in key areas. It has a top speed of 105 km/h and an IDC range of 181 kilometers.
Additionally, the car has four riding modes: Dash, Sonic, Eco, and Ride. In Sonic mode, the scooter can speed from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in 2.55 seconds. Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, stated, “You have the best choice within this price range. Our goal has always been to push technology to deliver smarter solutions, and the scooter exemplifies this.”
The OneS is the fastest and longest-range electric scooter in its price category, powered by an 8.5 kW PMSM engine and a 3.7 kWh fixed battery. It has the same sleek style as the Dot One, but it is faster, smarter, and more sophisticated.
Simple OneS: Features
The OneS includes 5G e-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard. The dashboard offers over-the-air updates, turn-by-turn navigation, app integration, and customizable themes.
It also has handy features like Find My Vehicle, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and regenerative braking. It also features Park Assist with forward and reverse movement. Simple Energy will discontinue the Simple Dot One with the introduction of the OneS, focusing its efforts on advanced technology and high-performance electric scooters. The Simple One Gen 1.5 and Simple OneS have now been added to the company’s portfolio.
In February 2025, Simple Energy released the Gen 1.5 version of the Simple One, which now has an astounding IDC range of 248 kilometers, making it India’s longest-range electric two-wheeler. The company’s next goal is to grow its nationwide presence, with plans for 150 new stores and 200 service centers in 23 states.
