Renault Dacia Spring EV will launch the Kwid EV in India, offering stylish design, advanced features, and impressive electric performance.
A subsidiary of Renault, which bought Dacia in 1999, is planning to launch the Sprint EV model in India, known globally as Kwid EV. The vehicle was spotted quite recently while on test in Chennai although it was heavily disguised, some of the design and features of the vehicle could still be observed.
Exterior
This particular model features Dacia’s logo and is designed in line with the Kwid model that is destined to come out soon. They have round shaped headlights placed within the bumpers with additional top established DRL. In the rear, it features extended tail lights with a black strip located at the center. However, the EV features large side skirts, large c-shaped arching, and classy wheels that give the car a beautiful outlook.
Interior
Inside, the Renault Dacia Spring EV comes equipped with a multi-functional 3-spoke steering wheel. The cabin accommodates a standalone touchscreen for infotainment; it is expected to have solutions for all wireless car connectivity solutions.
Battery, Power, and Range
The Renault Dacia Spring EV available globally comes with 2 electric motors and a 26.8 kWh battery pack that offers combinations of 44 bhp with a range of an outstanding 220 km on a single charge. The Indian variant is expected to have the same battery configuration and power rating as the rest of the world unit, and thus, offer comparable efficiency.
This deal can be seen as a machinization attempt of Dacia to enter the Indian electric car market by leveraging on Renault’s manufacturing and market location strengths. Before it is launched into the market, fans and potential buyers should expect the Renault Dacia Spring EV to be rebranded as the Kwid EV with stylish looks, smart features, and affordable electric performance in the Indian automobile market.
