Before Diwali 2025 the Curvv breath 2.0 Tata Nexon EV will make its market unveiling while receiving advanced battery attributes and operational capabilities.
Tata Nexon EV version 2.0 drives a forthcoming industry transition in Indian electric vehicles as it prepares for its Diwali 2025 launch. Building upon the success of its ancestor, this one is set to deliver a whole range of design and feature updates, along with its battery technology and make a good case as a player in the new electric SUV market.
Design Inspiration
The new Nexon EV will be designed on a large part of the Tata Curvv show car. This effect will be seen in the exterior and interior design. It is believed that the Nexon EV will have a more streamlined, sharp-line appearance, a contemporary nose, and a chic front fascia, consisting of slim LED headlights and a powerfully aggressive grille design.
The interior of the cabin is expected to be a good size with high-end fittings. The focus will be on creating a premium feel, with an emphasis on comfort and advanced technology. Sensory aspects, including ambient lighting, a comfortable seat design, and a driver-oriented layout with a view to userâ(p) usability, are to be expected.
Advanced Battery Options
A 45 kWh battery pack delivers an impressive range of approximately 489 km and a larger 55 kWh battery pack that can achieve around 585 km on a single charge. This represents a major step up compared to the 30 kWh entry battery model currently available.
Aiming to reach a wider user base and minimise EV range worries the company launched bigger battery systems. The product enhancements made by Tata Motors transform the Nexon EV into an option suitable for regular use in cities alongside extended trips between cities.
New Platform
The next-gen Nexon EV will be built on Tata’s innovative Acti.ev platform, which has been specifically designed for electric vehicles. On this platform, not only are larger battery packs supported, but also overall vehicle dynamics and vehicle safety features are improved.
The Acti.ev design enables a more balanced weight distribution as well as better handling characteristics, which leads to a more pleasant driving experience. In addition, it offers improved structural robustness, which is of great importance for passenger safety in electric vehicles.
Interior Features
Technological innovations characterise the Nexon EV interior design. Two 12.3-inch displays incorporating both infotainment functions and sensor readouts will create a complete display system for driver use. Multiple connection methods such as AppleCarplay and Android Auto will operate through this system design.
Other anticipated interior features include:
- Smart Door Handles: These will improve practicality and add the air of modernity.
- Hands-Free Tailgate: An accessibility feature enabling the opening of the boot drive by a person’s hands —for a complete grasp of a load of shopping, or baggage, for instance.
- Advanced Connectivity Options: Such as wireless charging pads for portable electronic devices (specifically smartphones) and USB ports.
- Safety Features: The upcoming Nexon EV is reported to be fitted with six airbags as standard equipment, as well as an uprated Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) featuring such functions as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
Driving Experience
One of the most exciting additions to the Nexon EV’s capabilities is the ‘summon’ function. This capability enables the car to travel automatically without the presence of the driver, a novel convenience that improves the ease of parking in confined conditions or retrieving a car from a distance.
This technology was presented on other Tata products such as the Harrier EV and Sierra at the recent auto shows, which indicated Tata’s dedication to adding state-of-the-art autonomous features in their vehicles.
Competitive Pricing
The upcoming Nexon EV is intended to deliver competitive prices in the electric SUV market. Current models are being sold in a range of ₹12.49 lakh to ₹17.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Despite potential minor variations in pricing to accommodate new battery options and capabilities, Tata Motors will probably maintain the price at a competitive level relative to the Mahindra XUV400 EV and other vehicles available on the market.
Tata is seeking to appeal to a broader market between budget-oriented customers wanting an entry-level vehicle, and customers wanting premium features in higher-end vehicles, by providing a choice of multiple batteries at different price levels.
Since Tata Motors is planning to introduce to the market the next generation Nexon EV by Diwali 2025, it can be concluded that this vehicle should be a major step up in terms of technology, design, and performance. With improved battery options and FPCs, it is intended for more than just market penetration but to establish new benchmarks in the electric SUV market in India.
This new version reflects Tata’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive sector, ongoing and growing. Through investments in electric mobility solutions that address various consumer needs, Tata Motors is not only a participant in the electric revolution but also actively moulding its destiny in India.
Backed by its combination of looks, power, and technological nous, the new Nexon EV is set to upend the Indian car scene as it opens the door to a cleaner future.
