The new Windsor Pro electric MPV Pro is expected to be priced around ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom)
MG Motor India has officially stated that the new Windsor Pro electric MPV will be released on May 6, 2025. The Pro variants will include multiple upgrades over the current model, including a greater driving range, new functions, and a revamped design.
What’s new with the MG Windsor Pro?
The Windsor Pro will be positioned above the standard Windsor EV and is expected to be the lineup’s flagship model. The main highlight will be its expanded range, which is expected to exceed 460 kilometres on a single charge, up from the normal model’s 331 kilometres.
Along with this, MG is expected to include new technology and premium features, particularly within the cabin. While specifics have not been published, buyers can expect a larger touchscreen, connected car features, a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke and flat-bottom steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, improved safety technology, and updated interiors.
MG has already provided a teaser image with minor design modifications. The front grille appears to have been adjusted, and new LED lighting elements are expected to be added for a more premium look. The Pro variant may also feature special 18-inch alloy wheels and a new body colour option.
Teasers show black and beige leather upholstery, faux wood trim, and copper accents. The Pro update, on the other hand, focuses on safety, with MG offering an ADAS suite with the Windsor Pro. The carmaker’s teasers include Pro style and Pro convenience, hinting at feature upgrades.
MG Windsor EV: A Quick Recap
The current Windsor EV is based on the MG Maxus MIFA 9, which has a 38 kWh battery and a 134-bhp electric motor and 200 Nm torque. It is known for its roomy three-row seats, smooth driving experience, and silent cabin. The Windsor Pro is likely to maintain the same powertrain while improving efficiency and comfort.
Price Expectations
The Windsor Pro is believed to cost somewhat more than the current top variant, which is priced around ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom), however, MG has not yet released the exact price.
The MG Windsor Pro will be marketed to customers who want a more premium electric MPV with a longer range and additional features. With its imminent release, this new model is expected to improve MG’s position in India’s expanding electric vehicle category.
