The Windsor EV achieved 3,116 sales in October 2024 surpassing Nexon EV sales at 1,593 units and Punch EV sales at 915 units. MG Windsor EV along with Nexon EV and Punch EV continued to attract more customers during November 2024 resulting in 3,144 Windsor EV units sold 1,899 Nexon EV units and 926 Punch EV units sold.
Windsor EV hit its highest sales month in December 2024 by selling 3,785 units yet Tata Motors managed to sell 1,603 Nexon EVs and 1,653 units of Punch EV13. During January 2025 the vehicle sales numbers stand at 3,450 for Windsor EV from MG 1,289 for Nexon EV and 1,189 for Punch EV from Tata Motors.
Impressive Numbers
From September 2024 through January 2025 MG sold 13,997 Windsor EV models which doubled the sales statistics of the Nexon EV at 7,047 units as well as the Punch EV at 5,708 units. The Windsor EV sales leadership proves this model stands out as the top electric car in India’s market.

Depending on the Battery as a Service model customers can pay only Rs 9.99 lakh plus Rs 3.5 for every km they drive the battery.
January Sales
During January 2025 JSW MG Motor India sold 3,277 units of the Windsor8. Since October 2024 MG Windors have sold 3,785 cars in December 2024 and 3,144 in November 2024.

Technical Specs
The MG Windsor includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor with one 38kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. It meets IP standards. The motor puts out 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque with an independent test range of 332km. It provides four driving settings including Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport.
Design Elements
The MG Windsor model combines its AeroGlide design with front logo illumination and LED lights plus extra features such as 18-inch alloy wheels and aero-lounge seats. You will get ventilated front seats, a 15.6-inch screen with wireless device apps, an automatic climate system, a PM 2.5 filter, a powered tailgate, and a sunroof in the Windsor model. Customers can split the rear seat area in half while adjusting it back to recline at 135 degrees.
Safety Features
The JSW MG Windsor is the third model from the brand and includes 36 safety features combined with 80 iSmart connectivity functions. The vehicle provides digital connectivity through its Bluetooth key system.
Market Growth
During 2024 people in India purchased 20% more electric cars which totaled 1 lakh units this year. The sales growth of JSW MG Motor increased by 125% during that time as the company sold 21,484 electric vehicles compared to its previous 9,526 units in 2023. The Windsor SUV generated market expansion even though it reached the market only three months before. MG now offers its subscription model to Comet and ZS EV customers to spread out the EV purchase costs.
Looking Towards the Future
JSW MG Motor India sold 4,455 vehicles to its dealers during January including 70% electric vehicle deliveries. The business plans to release two new vehicles while launching MG Select premium showrooms ahead of the Cyberster electric convertible sports automobile release.
Hyundai’s Move
Hyundai will release the Creta EV to serve the lower-end electric market priced below thirty lakh rupees. At first, Hyundai will sell around 2000 units of Creta EV Monthly. The Creta EV starts below $20,000 while providing a 300-mile driving distance and offers four trim options Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Customers have two battery pack options including 42 kW/hr and 51.4 kW/hr versions which provide 390 km and 473 km driving distances respectively.
