MG Motors will launch India’s first electric limousine, M9 EV featuring advanced capabilities and futuristic technology in the year 2025.
Presenting the M9 EV, the only electric limousine in India. The new MG Motor India luxury car is going to be shown at its Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. And by this, one more step on the journey towards making the automotive journey sustainable in all possible ways is taken.
Luxury Redefined
The MG M9 EV is built for those who love indulgence and comfort. The sofa seats of the second row come with eight massage modes and surely can entice passengers to such features. It also has a three-zone climate control with a one-click operation from the barrier touchscreen.
Power and Range
The M9 EV uses a powerful 90 kWh battery pack nestled under its hood, boasting an excellent driving range of up to 580 km according to WLTP criteria. The electric motor within delivers a strong performance of 241 bhp and torque output at 350 Nm, helping achieve a maximum speed of 180 km/h. MG also provides an 11 kW charger that can recharge the battery from 5 to 100 per cent in about 8.5 hours. With DC fast charging, though, you can get a quick charge from 30 to 80 per cent in only 30 minutes. It comes in two colours – Back Pearl and White Pearl.
Spacious Layout
As to dimensions, the MG M9 EV commands authority by measuring an imposing length of 5,270 mm, a width of 2,000 mm, and a height of 1,840 mm, all with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm. Such a big layout brings comfortable travel and yet creates conditions under which the M9 will be directly compared to renowned rival luxury counterparts, one example being the Vellfire of the Toyota brand and other models such as Kia Carnival.
Exclusive Showrooms
As for selling this new luxury MG product, MG Motor India will develop its premium dealership network thus: MG Select, where M9 will be launched along with other models like the Cyberster. The M9 EV is “a personalised masterpiece,” as put by Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer of JSW MG Motor India since it’s crafted with fine TLC as well as high technology.
Market Strategy
About 7% of electric vehicles have penetrated India’s luxury segment, hence that is the market MG wishes to capture, through innovative electric vehicles that meet the needs of the rich but eco-friendly consumer- without compromising on luxury. It is expected that the price of the M9 EV will be fairly around ₹1 crore, exclusive but within reach.
Bharat Mobility Global Expo
