Mercedes-Maybach launches the luxurious EQS 680 SUV in India, featuring a 107.8 kWh battery, 600 km range, and ₹4 crore price.
The EQS all-electric SUV from Mercedes-Maybach has hit the Indian shores today on September 5. The EQS, as it arrived, is one of the most expensive electric vehicles in India, with an ex-showroom cost of around ₹2.25 crore. As a luxury SUV, the Vision EQS 680 represents Mercedes-Maybach’s take on opulence and sustainability.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV — Powertrain
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV as expected is offered only in the 680, which debuted for the first time at one of this year’s biggest shows — Shanghai Auto Show. This Maybach EQS 680 gets a larger 122 kWh battery for an alleged range as high as 611 kms between charges.
The battery is connected to a pair of electric motors that give the SUV all-wheel-drive. Total system output for the electric motor setup is a hue-crazy 649 bhp and an astonishing 950 Nm of torque. And this means the luxury SUV is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds, and for those interested it has a top speed of no less than 210 kmph.

Being a Maybach, the EQS 680 SUV sticks to its global specifications and boasts an exhaustive list of luxury amenities. Inside, the cabin is richly adorned with Nappa leather seats that ensures every passenger gets a luxury feel. In the cabin you’ll find a premium 15-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system that provides an emotive acoustic setting. Further highlights consist of active ambient lighting, rear seat infotainment controls, and powered curtains provide privacy.
In terms of safety, the EQS 680 SUV carries multiple airbags and an all-including suite of advanced safety technologies. These include a 360-degree camera system, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), traction control as well as the stability control programs. This electric vehicle also provides multiple driving modes such as Eco, Sport, Offroad, Individual and the exclusive Maybach mode.
