Maruti Suzuki aims to enter the electric vehicle (EV) market with the production-ready eVX SUV and the MASSIVE Charging Network early next year. Before its formal arrival, the automaker has been scanning its dealer network to create charging stations. The company plans to install roughly 25,000 EV charging stations around the country, as well as more than 5,100 service facilities in 2,300 towns. Maruti Suzuki is engaged in talks with energy companies and oil marketing companies (OMCs) to set up charging infrastructure.
Maruti eVX Price Range
The forthcoming Maruti eVX will be built in Gujarat and distributed through Nexa dealerships. The company intends to sell 3,000 units in the first three months of its market launch. The electric SUV Maruti eVX SUV is projected to cost between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh, competing with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
Specifications of the Maruti eVX
While formal details for the Maruti eVX SUV are still coming, it is believed to include a 60kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor, with a range of 500 kilometres on a full charge and AWD. The eVX will serve as the foundation for an entirely new platform based on Toyota’s 40PL electric skateboard architecture, which will be around 4.3 meters long.
Maruti eVX Features
The production-ready Maruti eVX retains the concept design. Its front end will have a closed grille, LED headlights, a flat bonnet, and an upright snout. The side profile will have big, square wheel arches, prominent shoulder creases, and a coupe-style roofline. LED taillights, a dynamic bumper, and a modest spoiler finish off the design.
The interior of the production-ready eVX is unknown. We anticipate a dual-screen layout that will serve as both an infotainment system and an instrument cluster. ADAS technology, a 360-degree camera, a floating centre console with a rotary dial, a frameless rearview mirror, and a two-spoke steering wheel might be available.
