Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6e are sleek coupe SUVs aimed at the premium compact electric SUV sector.
Mahindra is preparing for a significant milestone in its electric vehicle journey with the debut of two exciting new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e. These launches represent a significant step forward for the brand as it broadens its EV offering, demonstrating a strong commitment to the future of sustainable mobility. These vehicles will make their global debut on November 26, 2024, during the “Unlimit India” event in Chennai.
“INGLO” Architecture
These new vehicles are the first from Mahindra to be designed on its groundbreaking “INGLO” architecture, an electric platform that meets global standards and is packed with cutting-edge technology. The INGLO platform is planned to have safety enhancements, high performance, and an efficient electric range to improve the driving experience.
“Indian icons”
The XEV 9e and BE 6e are Mahindra’s first forays into the premium and performance electric vehicle sectors. According to Mahindra, the XEV 9e is meant to set new standards in electric luxury, while the BE 6e promises powerful, performance-oriented traits. Mahindra describes these vehicles as “Indian icons” with the potential to create a global impression through distinctive design and cutting-edge technology.
“With INGLO, we’re blending Indian sensibilities with a world-class perspective,” a Mahindra executive said.
Soon to be launched
The BE 6e will be a premium option above the XUV400, competing with EVs such as the Tata Curvv, MG ZS EV, and MG Windsor EV. Meanwhile, the XEV 9e will compete with the Tata Harrier EV, which is set to appear soon.
