Mahindra launched the XUV 3XO, a renamed version of the XUV 300 with significant inside and out upgrades. Now, the company is planning to reveal the electric version of this compact SUV, which could be launched in early 2025. We anticipate that it will be showcased at the 2025 Delhi Auto Expo, where it could receive a lot of attention.
Design Updates Spotted
The XUV 3XO EV test mules have been spotted several times, and we now have the most recent set of pictures, confirming that it will share numerous design elements with its ICE sister. It will include LED projector headlamps and C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, but the alloy wheels are now comparable to the standard XUV 3XO rather than the Y-shaped units seen previously.
Exterior Enhancements
The charging port is positioned above the right front fender, and the front grille appears to have been slightly altered, along with the bumper. The LED taillights will be shared with the XUV 3XO, and the rear bumper may be significantly modified. The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV will most likely have new colour schemes to distinguish it from the ICE version, but the interior will be nearly the same.
Interior Tech Revealed
The new compact electric SUV will share the XUV 3XO’s dashboard layout and include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This five-seat electric SUV will compete directly with Tata’s Punch EV. It will be positioned below the XUV 400 in Mahindra’s lineup, to meet the growing demand for affordable electric vehicles.
Specifications & Range
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is expected to use a 34.5 kWh battery pack, similar to the lower trim levels of the XUV 400, with a claimed range of 375-400 kilometres on a full charge. It will also allow DC fast charging, resulting in faster recharge times and making it a practical option for everyday use.
Premium Features
It will include premium amenities such as a fully digital instrument console, a 360-degree camera system, and wireless smartphone charging. It will also include a seven-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control, an electric parking brake with auto hold, a blind spot monitor, adjustable headrests, six airbags, and more.
