The New EV Day and Kia EV designs are displayed at a time when the global EV sales slowdown has been a problem for most manufacturers.
KIA recently held a joyous EV day. As part of its commitment, the brand has been aiming to enter the market with new revolutionary EVs. At its recent event in Tarragona, Spain on Thursday, the new concepts shown included the PV5, EV2 concept, and the new EV4. At the latest event, Kia displayed nine new EV cars.
According to KIA, they chose Spain as a location because it is strategically important for all of their electrification efforts. The EV Day featured new automobiles built exclusively for the Korean and European markets. These markets account for 34% of its overall EV sales.
The New EV Day and EV concepts are being presented at a time when most manufacturers are getting worried about the downturn in global EV sales. But KIA appears to be worried about such difficulties since it plans to extend its EV lineup in the future.
Vehicles KIA Introduced
Kia displayed an array of new EV cars at their recent event. These included the new PV5- The Beyond Vehicle Strategy, which would be the platform’s first production vehicle. Overall, four different models of the new PV5 were displayed: the PV5 Crew vehicle, the PV5 Cargo, the PV5 Passenger, and the PV5 Wheelchair Access vehicle.
At the 2024 Consumer Electrics Show in Las Vegas, the Pv5 was showcased as a concept. Aside from the pv5, Kia debuted a new EV2, a B-segment SUV.
The EV4 is KIA’s first electrified saloon and hatchback, and it will debut in the United States. The car would be available in four variants: two four-door saloons and two five-door sedans. KIA has been developing a new Carens and, most likely, a new Syros for the future. New EVs, such as the Pv5 and Ev4, may not yet be available in India.
