While the EV2 tiny e-SUV will be introduced in 2026, the Kia EV4 will go on sale in Korea next month before expanding to other markets, including Europe.
Kia debuted the EV4 and Concept EV2 at its 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. In Kia’s current EV lineup, the EV4 is the first model to be available in sedan and hatchback versions. The Concept EV2 teases a B-segment compact electric SUV that will go on sale in Europe and other locations next year.
The Kia EV4, a global model, will make its debut in the Korean market in March 2025 before expanding to other regions throughout the year. In terms of performance, the EV4 comes in two battery configurations: standard (58.3 kWh) and long-range. With an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.23 Cd, the Kia EV4 long-range variant boasts an impressive 630 km range on a single charge (WLTP).
Its 150 kW motor allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. The charging time of the Kia EV 4 is from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes. The EV4 offers a connected and comfortable journey with its gorgeous 30-inch wide-screen display and entertainment options like YouTube and Netflix.
Kia’s Digital Key 2.0 allows for smartphone and Apple Watch access, while remote OTA updates keep the vehicle’s software up to date. Along with the latest ADAS technology, which includes Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, and Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2), it also boasts an i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking system.
The vehicle’s reinforced frame is said to offer high crash safety ratings, with Euro NCAP and US NCAP certifications aiming for five stars. Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy informs the EV4 sedan and hatchback. A wide stance gives the EV4 a commanding look, while vertically oriented headlamps and Kia’s Star Map lighting confirm its place in Kia’s EV series.
The sedan receives a two-piece spoiler and a sleek bumper setup in the rear, while Kia’s new EV Tiger Face is displayed in the front. The EV4 hatchback stands out for its enormous proportions and smooth, sloping rear glass. Inside, it has a minimalist design with contrasting materials, colors, and shapes. A floating user interface and an asymmetrical one-spoke steering wheel add to its modern appearance.
With a sliding table console, a rotating armrest, and a class-leading 490-liter sedan and 435-liter hatchback baggage capacity, the interior makes the most of available space. Dynamic welcome lights, wing-shaped bumpers, ambient lighting, and 19-inch triangle-shaped wheels are all features of the GT Line trim level.
