Kia unveiled the EV6 facelift at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi. Similar to the pre-facelift EV6, two GT-Line variants will be available: RWD and AWD. Apart from the new appearance and features, the electric vehicle also has improved mechanicals. Kia India began accepting bookings today, with the launch scheduled for March.
Kia EV6 Facelift Battery, Range, and Charging
The Kia EV6 exhibited at the Auto Expo 2025 is powered by the E-GMP platform and features a larger 84kWh battery pack (formerly 77.4kWh), which is more energy-dense. This fourth-generation cell powers two motors with a combined power of 325hp and 605Nm and offers all-wheel drive. Kia claims a range of more than 650 kilometres on a single charge.
Even fast charging speeds have increased; a 350kW fast charger can charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.
Kia EV6 Facelift Dimensions and Design
The length, width, and height remain unchanged at 4,695mm, 1,890mm, and 1,550mm. The same goes for the 2,900mm wheelbase.
In terms of new features, the greater/less than LED Daytime Running Lamps have been replaced with roughly triangular ones that surround the headlights, completing the trademark Star Map lighting system. Subtle changes to the bumper, notably the lower grille, make it appear sharper, and it is now devoid of any chrome.
Because the dimensions remain constant, the overall silhouette is the same. The GT-Line option comes with new 19-inch alloy wheels with a machined finish and body-coloured side cladding only. Similarly, the taillights and back bumper have seen minor reprofile.
Kia EV6 Facelift Interior and Safety Features
The new Kia logo now appears on the right side of the two-spoke steering wheel. A fingerprint sensor for keyless driver recognition has been installed to start the vehicle. The EV6 includes an enhanced head-up display (HUD) and a digital rear-view mirror, as well as AI-based navigation support, which is also included in recent Genesis vehicles sold worldwide. Graphic overlays are used to display inputs from the front camera.
Kia has kept the curved panoramic panel, which incorporates two 12.3-inch screens for instrumentation and information. It will also include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, a digital key, vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, and over-the-air (OTA) software upgrades.
The EV6 achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP rating; however, the pre-facelift model was crash-tested in 2022. Its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite includes forward, rear, and blind-spot avoidance features. A reverse camera system is also included, as are front and rear parking sensors.
