Jaguar Type 00 EV will have slim headlamps, an enclosed grille displaying Jaguar’s new ‘Device Mark’, and edgy vents.
Jaguar’s new electric concept, the stunning “Type 00”, is set to debut in India in June. After making waves at its world premiere in Miami late last year and dazzling crowds in Paris during its European unveiling, the eye-catching EV is now on a global tour, with Mumbai on the list. The EV is now having its ride in Monaco and will visit Munich and Tokyo before arriving in India. Jaguar has announced that the Type 00 will debut in Mumbai on June 14, 2025.
The Type 00 concept has attracted a lot of attention due to its dramatic and unique look. It represents a new design approach for the British brand, with a long bonnet, sloping roofline, and a cabin pushed to the rear. The front design is upright and bold, with slim headlamps, an enclosed grille displaying Jaguar’s new ‘Device Mark’, and edgy vents that give it a futuristic look. It’s a design that has people talking — and not everyone agrees with it, which is what makes it so interesting.
Clean body lines, flared fenders, and a well-hidden side camera in a brass trim strip are visible from the sides. Jaguar’s new leaper logo is prominently shown on the concept, while the wheels feature the brand’s fresh Double J roundel, substituting the classic ‘Growler’ insignia. The glazed glass roof, which is painted to match the body, delivers a sleek finish and lets natural light into the interior.
At the rear, the Jaguar Type 00 EV breaks the tradition by missing a standard windshield. Instead, a pantograph-style panel that lifts to reveal the storage compartment behind the seats has been installed. The taillamps are precisely integrated into a distinctive grille-like surface, and the prominent diffuser below gives a sporty and performance-oriented touch.
The cabin’s interior features floating seats mounted on travertine stone plinths, evoking an art installation. When not in use, two retractable displays fold neatly out of sight, resulting in a clean, minimalist dashboard. Jaguar also included three mood-setting ‘totems’—Brass, Travertine, and Alabaster—that can be put in the central console to modify ambient lighting and screen themes, allowing drivers to effectively personalize the cabin’s character.
Jaguar Land Rover also added that over 32,000 expressions of interest in the Type 00 have been received worldwide. As a result, it is one of the most widely discussed ideas in recent years. It also serves as the first look at Jaguar’s future generation of totally electric vehicles. Along with this, the company said that the next Range Rover Electric has already received over 61,000 bookings.
The Type 00 will eventually be followed by a 4-door production version, which is slated to make its global premiere later this year. Jaguar claims that the EV would have a range of 770 kilometers on a single charge, setting high expectations for what is to come.
