Hyundai debuted the Insteroid, a sporty, gaming-inspired design that reimagines the Inster EV. Its name combines the words “Inster” and “Steroid.”
Hyundai Motor Company has presented the Insteroid, a new concept car that reimagines the Inster electric vehicle in a sporty, gaming-inspired style. The concept’s name combines “Inster” and “Steroid,” hinting at a more powerful, performance-oriented version of Hyundai’s popular subcompact electric vehicle.
According to the company’s official statement, the production of Inster has attracted significant acceptance in key countries such as Europe and Korea since its global debut in June 2024, and this concept analyzes how Hyundai’s design language might be further refined.
Features of Hyundai Insteroid
The Insteroid is expected to come with fantastic exterior upgrades, like huge 21-inch wheels, sharp wheel arch vents, and a prominent rear spoiler with an integrated diffuser, which looks like they were lifted directly from a high-speed racing game.
Hyundai’s distinctive Pixel LED lighting gives a futuristic twist to the concept’s design. While technical data has not yet been revealed, the vehicle was clearly designed with visual impact in mind, with every element from the brake callipers to the instrument cluster confirming its fun, high-energy character.
The Insteroid, which is set to make its public debut in early April 2025, symbolizes Hyundai Design’s experimental approach to EV style. The manufacturer calls it a “glitch in the automotive matrix” that combines digital gaming aesthetics with real-world engineering.
