The Hyundai Creta EV is said to be launched in January 2025. The Creta EV gets EV-specific styling elements to stand out from the standard Creta.
In a recent investor meeting, Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai India, said the Creta EV will launch in January 2025. This matches prior assumptions that the start would be in 2025, meaning January, February, or March.
Hyundai Creta EV Exterior Features
The Creta EV will look similar to its ICE sibling. But, it will have some electric design cues. Some key features include a blanked-off grille, common on EVs, and stylishly tuned 17-inch alloys. Tests have shown that the DRL sections of headlights will be interconnected. Also, the taillight bar will be in the middle of the unit, as in the ICE model.
Hyundai Creta EV Interior Features
The Creta EV should have the same layout as the ICE version. It should use a pair of 10.25-inch screens for the climate and infotainment controls. The inside is expected to continue the extraterrestrial motif and is likely to have a two-tone dashboard. Inside, new items could be a three-spoke steering wheel and a new drive selector from Hyundai’s Ioniq model.
Hyundai Creta EV Technology and Comfort
To ensure comfort, the Creta EV should have dual-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, wireless phone charging, and ventilated front seats. Earlier, it was revealed that basic safety would come with 6 airbags and ADAS like Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Hyundai Creta EV Battery Specs And Rivals
Hyundai’s specs are missing details on the battery and motor. The industry expects multiple batteries for the Creta EV. Its battery is believed to be above 400 kilometres on a single charge of the car. This makes it ready for competition with rivals such as the Tata Curvy EV and the MG ZS EV.
Market Positioning
Hyundai Creta EV is expected to begin somewhere at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be one of the cheapest electric SUVs in India when it launches. It will lock heads with the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400, besides more rivals that will be introduced soon, such as the Maruti eVX.
Eco-Friendly Initiatives
Hyundai Motors is a sustainability-oriented company, and it is striving for electric vehicles’ promotion. The Creta EV aims to meet global demands for cleaner vehicles. Hyundai will launch an initiative to cut carbon emissions. It will promote eco-friendly activities to protect the environment in India.
Customer Expectations
Prospective consumers eye the Creta EV with something as they want a balance of efficiency, modernity, and protection measures. As there is more awareness among customers today about the environment, people are seeking good-performance electric cars with comfort. They seek efficient, non-regular vehicles to ease traffic and pollution.
In short, the Hyundai Creta EV could affect the race for the top spot in India’s electric vehicle market. Its low price, reliable features, and familiar design will appeal to Hyundai Creta fans. This is another future car model. It is expected to launch in the auto market as the company’s 2025 calendar year ends in January.
