BYD patents the Bao 3 SUV and Bao 9 sports car in India before the exhibition in January 2025, promising novel designs and performance.
The remarkable state of affairs is BYD filing design patents for two exciting vehicles-the Bao 3 SUV and the Bao 9 sportscar very much welcomed by the headlines in India. This also indicates that the company is up to launch its electric vehicle playing in the competitive Indian arena, which is fast-growing demand in the country for sustainable transportation alternatives.
Innovative Design
Traffic-congested and pollution-stricken cities won’t come close to the cracking rules of BYD Bao 3. The Bao 3 is claimed to be an electric SUV with rugged design cues from the Super 3 concept, an upright front fascia, LED headlights, and chunk wheel arches, which would have promised a bold orthodoxy. The body size measures over 4.6 meters in length and weighs more than 2 tonnes, giving it balanced aesthetics and functionality. The power for two electric motors is an impressive combined output of 444 bhp, granting a 0-100 km/h run time of just 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 201 km/h.
Performance Features
It is an open-top two-seater wherein its power-generating mode is pure electricity. This sportscar has its models – Super 9 electric concept – and features a dual-cockpit layout made of carbon fibre seats and an angular flat-bottom racing-style steering wheel. The models also utilize the latest state-of-the-art BYD Blade battery technology that assures optimum performance with complete efficiency.
Upcoming Exhibition
These interesting new models are meant to be showcased in the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo slated for January 2025, where they will be unveiled. The showcase that will be taking place at the event for them has not yet been disclosed. Turning expectations from these vehicles will, however, add to the enthusiasm surrounding the massive entry of BYD into the Indian automotive space.
As consumers keep realizing their green mobility solutions, launching a Bao 3 SUV and Bao 9 sports car could potentially shake things up in the Indian EV scene.
