BPCL and IONAGE extend their partnership to expand India’s EV charging infrastructure, enhancing accessibility and convenience for EV users.
BPCL and IONAGE, an eMobility service provider, have decided to increase cooperation with the aim of improving EV charging facilities in India. This relationship guarantees the accessibility of all current and future BPCL EV chargers through IONAGE’s network. It is meant to enhance convenience, particularly for owners of electric vehicles in the country when it comes to finding charging stations and using them.
IONAGE’s Vision for the Development of More EV Charging Points
Since its establishment in 2021, IONAGE has been offering solutions to businesses and direct EV owners. It aims to get more than one hundred and twenty thousand EV chargers on its network by 2028 to allow over ten thousand SMBs to benefit from the emerging EV charging market. Thus, with the further continuation of cooperation with BPCL, IONAGE will work to enhance the availability of EV charging in India.
BPCL’s eDrive Initiative and Platform Integration
This enhanced collaboration extends BPCL’s eDrive Initiative which was established in February this year. Here, IONAGE will integrate BPCL’s charger points with chargers provided by many more charger point operators and make it easy for users to charge their vehicles with a single click through IONAGE’s unified platform.

IONAGE’s Business Head, Retail – Mr. Pardeep Goyal while stressing on the significance of the partnership said, “Ionization of BPCL chargers is exclusively aimed at improving customer accessibility to BPCL’s chargers.”
Likewise, Mr. Vimal Kumar, the CEO of IONAGE, said, “This further association marks the major leap towards enhancing the experience of charging an Electric Vehicle in India.”
While India gradually aims at achieving 30% electric mobility penetration by 2030, this partnership is all set to play a pivotal role in the burgeoning network of EV’s in the country.
