The Bajaj Chetak 3503 is the most affordable lineup with a price range of Rs. 1.09 lakhs.
Bajaj Auto has introduced the most affordable lineup in the Chetak 35 series, the Chetak 3503, at an ex-showroom price range of Rs 1,09,500 lakh. This announcement came after the brand ended the year 2024 with its classic launch of the Chetak 35 series, Chetak 3501 and 3502. The Chetak 3503 is going to be the affordable option and will offer good value for money.
The Key Upgrades of the Chetak 3503
The Chetak 3503 is built on the same platform and offers the same battery pack option of 3.5 kWh as the 3501 and 3502 models. It offers a slightly lower range of 151 km, compared to the 153 km claimed by the other two. Its top speed is also a bit lower at 63 km/h, while the others go up to 73 km/h.
This small difference in speed won’t matter much for daily city rides, where high speeds aren’t usually needed. The 35-litre underseat storage, on the other hand, remains unaltered, which is a key benefit, especially for carrying helmets or everyday essentials.
The brand has made a few compromises in the features list to keep the pricing more affordable; that is, instead of the TFT screen displayed in higher-end models, the Chetak 3503 has a colour LCD console, hill hold assist, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, music control, call management and more. Although Bluetooth is supported, the interface seems to be outdated. In addition, the base-spec Chetak includes two ride modes: Eco and Sports, as well as LED headlights.
Another big difference is in the brakes. The 3501 and 3502 come with front disc brakes, but the 3503 only has drum brakes. This could be a drawback for riders who want better and quicker braking, especially when riding faster. The Chetak 3503 comes in four attractive colour options: Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, Cyber White, and Matt Grey.

3502 |
₹1,22,499 | 3.5kWh | 153km |

3503 | ₹1,09,500 | 3.5kWh | 151km |

Although the Chetak 3503 is the most affordable model in the 35 series, it’s not the least expensive Chetak available. The Chetak 2903 takes over the title with the price range of Rs. 98,498. But the 2903 comes with a smaller battery pack with a 2.9 kWh battery that results in a slightly reduced range and less storage space due to its underseat battery setup.
Though it lacks some premium features, the Chetak 3503 still takes over with its solid range, convenient storage, and reliable build quality. But this is the catch: competitors like the TVS iQube base variant offer a front disc brake and a TFT display at a more affordable price range, which may influence some customers’ decisions.
The Chetak 3503 is priced at Rs. 1,09,500, and is a cost-effective option for people looking for an affordable electric scooter. Bookings are now open on Bajaj’s official website, and deliveries are scheduled to start in the first week of May 2025.
