Bajaj Auto released the date of its improved electric scooter Chetak on December 20, making way for improvements in efficiency as well as performance.
Bajaj Auto is officially preparing to launch its brand new Chetak electric scooter model on December 20, 2024. It has been quite a long time since the rides were launched in 2020 and over all these years they have remained static with updating the rides to keep them competitive in a growing electric market.
Major Changes
Well, a completely new chassis is one of the primary things going on. This would allow for better weight distribution and handling by moving the battery pack under the floorboard. It would not only enhance stability but also improve under-seat storage space as most current complaints with the original model are based on storage space. The updated Chetak is expected to come with a bigger battery pack and will probably take the range beyond the present levels of 123 km to 137 km per charge, hence that much more tempting for those who spend more money going the extra mile.
Fresh chassis and battery placement will make handling and riding comfort in the new Chetak significantly improved in performance. This newly designed bike will be more stable while carrying out slow maneuvers or just stopping as a result of its lowered center of gravity; therefore, more secure riding.
Design Features
The retro-modern look is still present, but it will likely feature subtle design changes such as newer LED tail lamps and possibly a completely new palette. However, the entire package will remain the same and appeal to first-time and old buyers alike.
The Variants
Expectedly, Bajaj will come up with several variants with differing specifications of the new Chetak. A low-cost variant may even be released with specifications such as steel wheels and conventional drum brakes instead of disc brakes, which offer a wider audience access to different budget options.
The Pricing
At present, the Bajaj Chetak is priced between Rs 96000 and Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), and with a lot of accessories being added to the new model, an increase is likely to occur in this price range too. Information regarding prices will be revealed during the launch, as it is predicted Bajaj will keep it competitive within the segment.
Chetak is going to become aware that he has seen the ground influence in the market with these improvements. It seems that it will touch almost all of his audience and give a deeper penetration in the market as an electric scooter contender in India with improvements in practicality, performance, and aesthetics.
These exciting features are likely to pop out on the 20th of December when Bajaj Chetak opens to customers for induction in the exciting new electric scooter market. Bajaj Auto is moving into exciting new products and promises to sustain and position itself for growth in the rapidly changing automotive industry.
