Ampere Reo 80 electric scooter, priced at ₹59,900, has an 80 km range and is ideal for city journeys or first-time EV riders.
Greaves Electric Mobility’s Ampere Electric brand now offers the Reo 80 electric scooter, priced at ₹59,900 (ex-showroom). The Reo 80 is a “low-speed” e-scooter that does not require a driver’s license or registration, making it a smart choice for students, senior citizens, and first-time EV riders. Ampere’s “Har Gully Electric” concept aims to bring electric vehicles to every street and area across the country.
Affordable Choice
The Ampere Reo 80 reflects the company’s goal of making electric vehicles affordable and easily accessible to everyone in India. The Reo 80 stands out for its user-friendly design and low-maintenance electric drivetrain. With a top speed of 25 kmph and a claimed range of 80 km on a single charge, it’s ideal for short city commutes and quick errands around town. The Reo 80 runs on a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is safer and lasts longer than conventional lithium-ion batteries.
Packed with features
The Reo 80 sticks to Ampere’s signature compact design and comes in four stylish dual-tone colours—black, red, blue, and white. It gets 10-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, and a coloured LCD that shows all your ride info. You also get keyless entry via a smart key fob, which adds an extra touch of convenience. The scooter has twin rear shock absorbers for a smoother ride, telescopic front forks, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake for added safety and comfort.
“At Ampere, our goal is to make electric mobility accessible on every street throughout India. With the launch of the new Reo 80, we’re providing an affordable, smart, and safe electric scooter that caters to the everyday needs of a diverse range of riders, regardless of their budget or background,” says K. Vijaya Kumar, Executive Director and CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility.
Availability
Deliveries for the Ampere Reo 80 are set to begin across India this month. The launch comes at a time when more people are looking for affordable electric two-wheelers. In fact, Ampere saw a 52% jump in sales in March 2025, showing that budget-friendly, eco-friendly scooters are becoming increasingly popular.
