Kia 2025 EV6 facelift launched in India; available with a larger 84 kWh battery with longer range and updated design priced at Rs 65.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Good news has come for the EV lovers, the new 2025 EV6 facelift has finally been launched in India by Kia. With an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 65.90 lakh, the new EV6 packs multiple upgrades. The updated version of the Kia EV aims to set new standards in the premium EV market.
Performance Specification
The 2025 EV6 features a new and enhanced powertrain, including an 84-kWh battery pack, an improvement over previous models. This new battery boasts a claimed range of over 650 km (ARAI MIDC Full), addressing EV adopters’ major obstacle, range anxiety.
Powering the EV6 is a dual-electric-motor setup producing a total of 325 PS and 605 Nm of torque. This impressive combination allows the car to reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. In its quest to become even more performance-oriented for its launch, Kia chose to only sell the EV6 with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration.
The EV6 is one of the top performers in this category. On a 350 kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes. This capability ensures limited waiting from 10% to 80% state of charge in under 20 minutes and makes the EV6 a more practical long-distance vehicle.
Kia’s “OppositeUnited” Design Philosophy
The 2025 EV6 updated version comes with 15 top-notch upgrades, including an edgier and more aggressive exterior design that is inspired by Kia’s “OppositeUnited” design philosophy, which includes a new Star Map Graphic Connected DRL with Sequential Indicators and GT-Line front bumpers. The new EV6 offers a refined luxury experience with a premium and roomy interior design.
The New double D-cut steering wheel with hands-on detecting technology improves driver convenience. The connected car navigation cockpit features a dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved display and integrated next-generation infotainment for an immersive digital experience. The vehicle also features 19-inch Aerodynamic glossy-finish alloy wheels and star-map LED rear combination lamps with sequential indicators, adding to its futuristic look.
Interior And Connectivity Features
Although the interior layout is quite familiar, Kia has made a few subtle yet significant adjustments to improve the driving experience. The first thing that catches the most attention is the three-spoke dual-tone steering wheel that adds a sportier touch to the cabin.
To improve connectivity even further, the automobile includes over 100 connected features. It includes Kia Connect 2.0 and Kia Connect Diagnostics (KCD) for remote car diagnostics. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates enable remote updates for 34 ECU controllers, reducing the need for service center visits. The Digital Key 2.0 uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to transform a compatible smartphone into a virtual key, enabling seamless locking, unlocking, and ignition even while the device is in a pocket or bag.
It also gets a new fingerprint sensor, which is a big addition to the interior of the car, but also makes it easier for drivers to add their own personalization and security features. Kia has also stayed true to its eco-friendly roots, using sustainable materials for the seats and other trim elements.
Tech-Packed Features
The 2025 EV6 offers a host of features across its various configurations. All that high-tech innovation is supported by a pair of 12.3-inch displays—one for instrumentation and the other for infotainment—the latter enhanced by a 12-inch augmented reality-based head-up display (HUD). Additional features include a sunroof, wireless phone charging, and digital key functionality for even greater convenience.
Safety Features
The Kia EV6 has 27 advanced safety and driver aid technologies, including 5 autonomous features, to enhance safety. FCA 2.0 includes Junction Turning, which detects oncoming vehicles, and Junction Crossing, which prevents crashes at intersections. FCA 2.0 – Lane Change Assist and FCA 2.0 – Evasive Steering Assist improve safety by providing extra protection during lane changes and emergency maneuvering, and LFA 2.0 to optimize lane location.
Market Positioning
The 2025 Kia EV6 is going to be a part of a competitive segment of the Indian EV market. It’ll go up against other premium battery electric offerings like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo C40 Recharge, Mercedes-Benz EQA, and the BMW iX1. The EV6, as a newcomer to the segment, has all the pieces to become a serious player, with its striking design, tech features, and performance pleasing to the eye.
The launch of the 2025 EV6 facelift is a testament to how committed Kia is to electric vehicles in India. With the industry moving aggressively towards an electric future, Kia has also updated this model in order to stay competitive ahead of the changes.
2025 Kia EV6 pricing, with its combination of style, technology, and performance, will likely attract a wide range of tech-savvy customers and EV fans. As the electric vehicle landscape in India continues to evolve, the EV6 stands as a testament to Kia’s vision for a more sustainable and exciting automotive future.
