The 2025 Ather 450 electric scooter series is planned to include powertrain and feature updates.
Ather Energy, an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced that the 2025 Ather 450 electric scooter will make its Indian debut. Tarun Mehta, the brand’s CEO and co-founder, stated on social media that the EV will make its debut on January 4 at the Track Attack event. It should be noted that the electric scooter was first introduced in India in 2018 and has long been due for an update.
Upcoming Features
Along with the announcement of the debut, Tarun Mehta teased the upcoming updates to the 2025 Ather 450 series. One of these revisions is expected to include the ‘Magic Twist’ feature on the list. This feature was added to the Ather 450 Apex and allows the user to use the throttle twist to brake. In other words, the rider may control the speed only with the throttle.
Powertrain Upgrades
Furthermore, a video posted on the social media platform showed the scooter battling against ICE bikes and scooters on a race course. This indicates improvements to the EV’s powertrain to enhance performance.
Performance Boost
Tarun Mehta added, “We’re introducing a bunch of new updates.” A lot has changed on the inside, boosting the scooter’s performance and making your ride even more fun and safer. For those who prefer to max out their ride, we’ve got an exciting update.”
Traction Control
Along with this, the CEO of the company used the term ‘Track-Tion,’ indicating that the brand might start offering a traction con upgraded traction control system, bolstering the promises of improved safety. It appears to be an improved version of the brand’s current traction control technology, called Skid Control. There may be additional software updates included with AtherStack 6.
