The 450X, Ather Energy’s oldest 450 series, has been upgraded for 2025 and has also seen various improvements, as well as a price hike.
The Price Rage
The 450X, Ather Energy’s oldest electric scooter, has been updated for 2025. The scooter has undergone numerous modifications, as well as a price increase. The 2.9kWh model is now priced at Rs. 1.47 lakh, while the 3.7kWh trim is priced at Rs. 1.57 lakh, bringing them up by Rs. 6,400 and Rs. 2,000, respectively. These scooters can also be equipped with the extra Pro pack, which costs Rs. 17,000 for the former and Rs. 20,000 for the latter.
Traction Control Mode
The updates have come in the form of new features, the most notable of which is the addition of three traction control modes: Rain, Road, and Rally. As the names indicate, these modes provide variable levels of TC intervention, making them appropriate for a variety of riding scenarios. Those who want complete control can turn TC entirely off.
Ather’s Magic Twist
The 2025 Ather 450X now features Ather’s Magic Twist regenerative braking system, which was introduced on the 450 Apex. According to Ather, this regen is so powerful that it can replace the use of traditional brakes in most cases. On the hardware front, the 450X gets a new set of tyres co-developed with MRF. The Zapper N e-Tred tyres are said to extend the scooter’s real-world range by about 25% due to lower rolling resistance. The claimed real range for the 2.9kWh version has increased from 85km to 105km, while the 3.7kWh trim now boasts a range of 130km, 25km more than previously.
AtherStack 6 software
Those who choose the Pro Pack will have the new AtherStack 6 software integrated into their scooter. It includes a number of useful features such as Google Maps, Alexa connection, WhatsApp notifications on the dashboard, Ping My Scooter, and live location sharing. Furthermore, the business is selling the Ather Duo 700W home charger with the 2.9kWh edition of the 450X, which can charge the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in three hours.
