The India International EV Show 2024 will showcase cutting-edge EV technologies, featuring over 100 exhibitors and significant industry advancements.
The 5th edition of the India International EV Show (IIEV) 2024 has been planned to be held from 6th to 8th September 2024 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam. This event which has generated a lot of buzz is expected to have more than 100 brands and companies from over five countries displaying information related to electric cars, batteries and charging stations.
Key Highlights
The India International EV Show 2024 expects to attract more than 12 thousand visitors, making the event one of the key in the field of EV industry since numerous products will be launched not to mention the fact that over 5 thousand innovative technologies and solutions will be showcased. Participated by Futurex Group Llp, the industry event is co-sponsored by the Global Automotive Research Centre, International Federation of Electric Vehicle Association (IFEVA) & Society for Smart E-Mobility (SSEM). These include Facilitating MSMEs of Tamil Nadu (FaMe TN), Tamil Nadu EV Task Force, National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV), Ease of Doing Business and Charge Point Operators Society of India (CPOS).
Market Insights
Currently, the Indian electric vehicle market is on constant growth and has crossed 1.7 million units in the fiscal year 2024. As per the research conducted by JMK Research & Analytics, the total electric vehicle sales in the Indian market are estimated to be up by 66 percent in the next year and the market share of the EVs in the Passenger Car segment is likely to double in 2024.

NHEV is planning to organize a conference and press meet on the 8th of September to throw light on the possibility of having E-Highways. Moreover, as a tribute to World EV Day which is observed on the 9th of September, the event will include TECHED CAR TRIAL RUN which is a 332 KM electric vehicle rally from Chennai to Trichy. This run should give useful information about Techno-commercial aspects of electric SUVs and buses which a layman and even experts in the field would not be able to find out easily.
